Enhancing K-12 Science Education
Our lab at North Carolina State University is dedicated to advancing K-12 education through the development of engaging and informative curricula that bring the fascinating world of microbiology to young learners. This is work that we published as "topic frameworks" for International Microbiology Literacy Initiative (IMiLI), focused on termites and blow flies, designed to inspire curiosity and understanding of these incredible insects and their ecological roles.

Our commitment to improving school education is further underscored by our interest in increasing researcher-teacher interaction to scale up STEM knowledge mobilization, as argued in our publication, which was a collaboration between NCSU and Galactic Polymath, involving researchers, science communicators, and curriculum developers.
